Congratulations to Team Mukelawho are the winners of the inaugural ZOL Startup Challenge which was held over the last month in Harare.

In what was a tight competition Mukela walked away with the USD5,000 in cash as well as USD5,000 in Internet services from ZOL. Sadomba-Mahari and SoftwareHouse were joint second walking away with $2,500 cash and the same amount in Internet services. Ribe Networks came in at fourth place and ZOL will be providing it with a range of Internet services. Funza, the fifth finalist did not present at the finals.

Speaking at the finals, ZOL CEO, David Behr commended the effort made by the strong field of contestants. He expressed hope that the next one would be bigger and better, while making a call to other companies to invest in the ZOL Startup Challenge.

The ZOL Startup Challenge is a ZOL initiative. It seeks to cultivate innovation and initiative in technology.
